New Melville Clubhouse Celebrated

blog-image

Is there a better way to officially open the brand new Clubhouse at our Melville village than by christening it with a BBQ? We think not. And, based on the turnout and how quickly the snags disappeared, our residents agree with us.

You’d be forgiven for thinking the big event of Saturday 19th May was the royal wedding, but in fact it was absolutely the official opening of the new Clubhouse at Melville. After a few days of questionable weather, Perth turned on a stunner of a day for us, allowing residents to take full advantage of the fresh air outside, as well as enjoying the sunshine that streamed through the windows of the Clubhouse.

Room-shot

It wasn’t long until the Clubhouse was filled with the sounds of laughter and chatter as residents caught up on the latest gossip over a sneaky mini-cake from a local bakery while they waited for the main affair: the BBQ. After an introduction from St Ives Retirement Living CEO John Ford, the Clubhouse was declared officially opened and talk quickly changed to the different types of events and activities the residents planned to hold.

Smiley-lady

After some careful supervision and skilled cooking, the BBQ was ready and the smell of snags filled the Clubhouse. It only took one resident to jump up for theirs before everyone else followed suit, most came back for seconds (some for thirds because, why not!). It was unanimous that there’s nothing quite like a sausage sizzle on a Saturday afternoon, and now the residents can host their own at their new Clubhouse!

Group-talking

It was also a great opportunity for those who were interested in starting their life at our Melville village to stop by and meet their potential new neighbours, as well as have a look at the various homes open for inspection.

If you missed out on the day and would love to stop by to see the Clubhouse and the homes available, and perhaps speak with our residents about what life is really like at the Village, please call Ric on 0401 196 159.
