St Ives: Proud sponsor of the Albany Easter Regatta
St Ives has been a proud sponsor of the Princess Royal Sailing Club Easter Regatta for two years and this year’s event as just as exciting as last years. The weather was more troublesome this year with cold temperatures and icy winds, but the competitors and spectators didn’t let that stop them from enjoying their annual event. This year, the Regatta was part of the National 125 State Championships and there were over 40 boats! Along with the main event, there was plenty of other fun activities to take part in, including a Welly Throwing Competition – yes, you read that right. With so much going on, the weather was soon forgotten.
Our Albany Village Manager Lynne was assisting the Commodore at the awards presentation that evening and very proud to present her son with one of his pennants. She even managed to get a photo! More photos from the event can be found on their website.
The Princess Royal Sailing Club is located on the foreshore of the Princess Royal Harbour in Albany. St Ives was a sponsor for the 2018 event, and hope to be sponsoring the event in 2020! You can find out more about them on their website, or you can check them out on Facebook for updates on their events and news.
St Ives is proud to sponsor local events in the community of our Villages. The Easter Regatta is just one of the many events we sponsor, another is the St Ives Cup at the Cambridge Bowls Club in Floreat. As well as local events, we’re also eager to assist our residents on their sporting journey! One of our Mandurah residents is a keen paddler and has been regularly competing since late last year. Read about our paddling champ, Johann, here.
Now, it’s time to get training for the 2020 Easter Regatta!
