Australia Day Celebrations at St Ives
Our residents celebrated Australia Day in style, with special events and get-togethers on across all villages.
Residents at our Mandurah and Carine villages love to get together for a lunch and a catch-up, so celebrating Australia Day was the perfect excuse. At Mandurah, residents flocked to the Clubhouse for a traditional Aussie breakfast: bacon, eggs, toast – you name it, they had it! There were plenty of Aussie flags, patriotic shirts and even a few hats you’d usually see in the outback. After the Australian anthem was sung, they got stuck into the Australia Day Award Ceremony where President of the Resident’s Committee, Jimmy, presented some well-deserved awards to residents.
Further North at our Carine village, residents opted for a Bonza Night. It was the perfect setting to celebrate Australia Day with their fellow neighbours as well as their family and friends. With the outdoor seating at Carine, there was no better setting for the event, that’s for sure! There was even the perfect place to hang a few Australian flags.
Below are a few photos from the day.
